How to Join the Twin Cities Girls Chorus!

The Twin Cities Girls Chorus is currently accepting new members for its 2008-2009 Concert Season. Auditions are open to all young women in grades K-10; no previous music experience is necessary. Auditions consist of a simple voice check, testing the singer’s range and ability to match pitch as well as the quality/timber of her voice. Singers do not need to prepare a solo for auditions.

Upcoming Audition Dates

Monday, June 9, 2008 – 7 to 8:30PM

Auditions are held at First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights. Please call TCGC to RSVP to an audition evening and receive directions to audition location.

TCGC members pay a modest tuition amount to participate in the program. Tuition rates for the 2007-2008 season were $70 per month or $580 for the year (paid in full). For current tuition information, please contact TCGC.

The Twin Cities Girls Chorus offers several scholarships each year to singers based on the three following criteria:

Family Financial Need – 50%
Singer Essay – 30% (Singers under 8 may complete oral interview)
Singer Audition – 20%

TCGC will begin accepting scholarship applications for the 2008-2009 season July 15, 2008. All applications must be postmarked by August 1, 2008. Applications may be submitted via email or by US mail to our TCGC address. Once a singer application has been received, TCGC will contact the singer to schedule their audition. Scholarship decisions are made by the Twin Cities Girls Chorus board of directors with input from the Artistic and Executive Directors.
