The Twin Cities Girls Chorus was formed out of a desire to provide high quality musical education and choral experience to young women of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to this, we provide an opportunity for young women to come together in fellowship while being actively involved in the community at large.

The Twin Cities Girls Chorus organization retains a talented, well-educated, and motivated staff dedicated to the musical education and social development of our singers.

Tara Stevenson FinneTara Stevenson Finne, M.A. - Tara Finne is the artistic director of the Twin Cities Girls Chorus and conductor of the Concert Choir. Mrs. Finne has been teaching vocal and choral music in both public and private school settings for ten years.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in music education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and her Master of Arts degree in music education from the University of Saint Thomas. Tara is a fully certified Orff-Schulwerk pracitioner, and she presents workshops for other educators on that particular music education method throughout various parts of the country. Mrs. Finne has directed several successful children’s choirs including the Field School Madrigals, and Metropolitan Choralaires.

Kristi Billings:Kristi Billings is the Executive Director of the Twin Cities Girls Chorus and conductor of our Mezzo choir. Ms. Billings has been an active musician and educator in the Twin Cities metropolitan area for a number of years, working as both a choral conductor and piano instructor. She received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she studied voice, piano, and organ, and was a member of the Augsburg Choir. While attending Augsburg College, Ms. Billings was fortunate enough to gain extensive experience in the field of arts administration through her work with the Minnesota State Arts Board. Most recently, Ms. Billings was the Operations Manager and conductor for the Metropolitan Choralaires/Metropolitan Boys Choir. Kristi also teaches piano and voice at La Musique Studios in Minnetonka.

Deb Oleson:Ms. Oleson is an accomplished pianist and accompanist in the greater metropolitan area. Ms. Oleson had served the community for years as a volunteer accompanist and works professionally as a Neonatal Intensive care nurse at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. Ms. Oleson is the faculty accompanist for the Twin Cities Girls Chorus and an active donor to our organization.
